Kobe Bryant's Ankle Insurance Co.

Ever since Kobe signed with Nike, his advertisements for his shoes have been hilarious, especially this one for his Kobe Air Zoom IV. The concept behind it is: if you don't have his new kicks, you need ankle insurance... which is very evident at 0:28 of the video, haha.

And if you did not notice, the horse is not real... which makes the ad 231% better lol.

Shepard Fairey on his Obama campaign poster

I figured since the inauguration for president-elect Barack Obama is tomorrow, I would shed some light on the infamous "HOPE" campaign poster that was created by artist Shepard Fairey.

BBC | Ice Cream jacket

This jacket is completely outside the box... which could be a bad thing for some, which I'm sure this piece would be. But for me, outside the box is normal which is why this appeals to me. This jacket is on some Michael Jackson x astronaut in a tuxedo type of shit, haha. But something like this makes me want to work harder and realize you can do you. Peep the ray guns!

Diamond Supply's "Harassment" tee

So, I know this is our blog and what not, but I figured I throw this up here because Dave has been waiting on this Diamond shirt for too long, haha. I can remember him seeing it on their myspace months ago and all he kept talking about was how he can't wait for it to drop. Well Dave, Thursday it'll be yours.

Cleveland legend on UNDFTD billboard

Undefeated has updated their billboard with another great shot from iconic photographer Neil Leifer. Known as a risk taker, the New York native has produced some of the most visually stunning and famous sports imagery of our time. Having shot over 150 covers for Sports Illustrated, Liefer’s image of Cleveland Brown’s legendary running back, Jim Brown, was chosen for Undefeated’s 21st billboard project.

KR Blog genesis

What's up everybody? It's been awhile since our last post. But that does not mean we have been taking time off! The past 3 months have been the busiest we have ever been. Its been constant grind from our end while getting ready for Spring 09. We are at a turning point right now with our brand and perspective on things so we figured we have a fresh start here.

So basically, we felt that production and motivation was absent from our company. We would release shirt after shirt, but we sat back and expected something to happen. But recently our attitude has completely taken a 180 and we have never been more focused on what we are doing. Me and Dave have decided that if we want this to work, we have to put in work, haha. Not saying we didn't before, but it was far from enough. We are in the stages of finally identifying an identity for Kings Ransom Clothing.

As far as clothing, we are finishing up developing our line for the Spring 09 season. We have a couple cut & sew pieces in production that will be in our hands very soon. This obviously is exciting because we have our vision being brought to life. The pieces are long sleeve button-ups... a nice clean design for both with new custom tags and our logo embroidered on the back. Each also has 2 vertical straps on each shoulder, distinguishing these pieces from others. The colorways are awesome... not much more I can say about them. So stay tuned for those! We also have a couple tees we will be releasing with the button-ups as well, so we will finally have a line lined up.

The website has been down for some time now, but we are in the final stages of the redesign of kingsransomclothing.com. Also, we are working on our look book and the digital version of the look book. And just recently, we sponsored our dudes Smoke Screen's new mixtape, entitled Punch-Drunk Melodies. Mooke and Street Chemist are 2 cool ass, down to earth dudes that are always putting in work, so we met up with them one day and decided to collab on the mixtape and do some other promotional work together as well. You can download the mixtape here for free:

Last thing for today... we recently sent some shirts down to Texas to our dude Yung Chill. He's a producer/songwriter/artist/engineer, who's credits include:
Chamillionaire - (Universal/Chamillitary) "Claiming They Gangsta"

Snoop Doog (Geffen/Interscope) - "Crusin"

Bun B (Rap-A-Lot/UGK) - "Posted At The Store"

& tons more.
He sent us some pictures he took with our Honor Thy Flyness tee. Check them out here.
